wood. He has sold many completed works and has many works
still in progress, most of alabaster and marble. Anthony was
born in Shiprock, New Mexico in the Dine’ (Navajo) nation in
1966. He Currently resides there with his wife Judy,
daughter Sedona, and sons Narbona and Biliiligaii.
Anthony has apprenticed in his career with many well-known
artists such as Oreland C. Joe of Kirtland NM, Doug I. Hyde
of Santa Fe NM, and Dan Raven of Santa Fe NM. As an
Apprentice working for Oreland, he participated in the
creation of the now famous Navajo Code Talker bronze
memorials recently installed in the Navajo Nation capital
and soon to be installed in Phoenix, AZ. He also
participated in the recent Lewis and Clark expedition in
Missouri. He evolves the subject that he creates, by the
“feel” he gets from the stone or the material he has
selected. Sometimes this takes days and nights of
meditating, sketching, testing and studying the stone.
