It
all started in high school in wood shop. By the time my
senior year rolled around I was taking 3 periods of wood
shop a day! In 1988 I received a certificate of proficiency
as a Cabinet Makers Apprentice, from the Southern California
Occupational center. I started my wood working career in
1989 at Design Support Cabinets building high-end custom
residential cabinetry in Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach,
Newport Beach, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, Hollywood, and
Beverly Hills, CA. In 1996 I had the opportunity to learn a
new trade, I took a job as an Automatic Door Installer. As a
Door Installer I was trained as an Electrician and learned
how to install swinging, revolving, sliding, and industrial
roll up doors. I learned a lot of low voltage wiring for
activation systems, remote and security systems, as we`ll as
glass cutting and storefront fabrication. After 4 years in
the electrical trade I was well passed ready to get back to
Woodworking. It was then that I was offered a job at one of
Santa Barbara's top wood shops Starbuck Minikin. I had the
pleasure of making and installing Woodworks in some of the
most beautiful homes I had ever seen! The areas I worked in
were Santa Barbara, Montecito, and Hope Ranch, CA. Then I
took a job offered to me by Mueller Custom Cabinetry. I had
the opportunity to work on some amazing projects and gain
new knowledge and woodworking skills. While working there I
became the "Go To Guy" for the more difficult projects that
needed to be done right the first time! We specialized in
VERY custom high-end commercial and residential cabinetry.
Most of our projects were for Casino's, Restaurants, and
Hotels (worldwide). I worked on some of the most amazing,
intricate, and difficult projects of my career. I learned
new things daily. We worked with radius's, angles, exotic
woods, foam, concrete, glass, and metals, many shapes and
mediums were used. As a Woodworker I have always done side
jobs. It has become a hobby as well as a career. There has
always been someone that needed cabinetry or some sort of
wood work done. I have designed and built kitchens,
entertainment centers, bathrooms, custom pool tables,
stairs, and bars. Also just for the love of working with
wood I make picture frames, lamps, jewelry boxes, humidors,
drums, pedestals, and various other smaller things. While
visiting Santa Fe on vacation for the first time, I
discovered that this is my home!! With my experience, world
travels, and artistic ambitions, I would like to introduce:
